ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN
The Save the 11 Bus Campaign was launched by concerned residents of Hillcrest and Wadelai who depend on the 11 bus as a critical link to Dublin’s city centre and essential services.
Over 25% of residents are elderly and without alternative transportation. We also have several mobility challenged residents in our area. For them, the 11 provides daily access to everything from medical appointments to social connections. Under the current BusConnects plan, this route is being replaced by an inferior and overcrowded 19 service from the airport that will terminate at Parnell Square.
Our campaign has brought together over 2,000 petition signatures and the support of local representatives who believe in protecting community access and connectivity. The 11 is more than a bus—it’s our community’s lifeline, and an essential service for students of DCU.
